The SIPUGday focuses since the start on market data and related technologies, services and products in the front, back and middle office. Regulations and their impact on data are also a topic for our audience. Typical visitors are market data managers, procurement and IT specialists from the financial and commodities industries from the D/A/CH-LI area. Exhibitors are data vendors, service providers, exchanges, rating- and news agencies and start-up companies in the data & finance technology area.
Focus on China
In 2019 the focus will be on CHINA. The Chinese economy is moving very fast from a goods producer for the western world into a technology giant driving the innovation forward for the other parts of the world. The Chinese government is pushing the industry to rapidly change into the digital age in using state of the art technology. In addition, the huge number of well educated Chinese people is allowing the country to leave behind the copy into a create vision, which is already visible by world leading tech companies like WeChat, Huawei and many others. 
The Year of the PIG will likely make the changes visible more then ever before and it should be expected, that this has also a significant impact on banking and the finance industry in our area.
The SIPUGday is unique, as the main distinguishing feature to similar events is our concept to bring mostly our own speakers. Topics at the event which we believe will be relevant to all of us, whether you are a customer or a supplier are keeping the story on focus during the whole day. Extended networking breaks are ideal so that everyone will get in touch with colleagues or suppliers, which is a main goal of the SIPUGday. The event has grown since 2010 until today to almost 200 participants.
